As you all know, Carter and I are both from Tennessee, but it took us moving all the way to Jackson, Mississippi to cross paths and fall in love.
We actually met our first year in law school, but didn’t begin our journey together until three months prior to graduation. And from there our relationship has been a wonderful whirlwind, from moving back to Tennessee, to studying for and taking the bar exam together, to beginning new careers.
And now, here we are, beginning the next chapter of our lives together with our marriage.

Amber’s Story
Amber was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1977 to Jimmy and Sherri DePriest. She has an older sister, Amy, and a younger brother, Andy. When Amber was two years old, the family moved to Cookeville, Tennessee, which Amber still considers to be her hometown. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She then worked for about a year before moving to Jackson, Mississippi to attend law school, where she caught her first glimpse of Carter. Amber graduated from Mississippi College School of Law in 2004 and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. She is currently working as an Assistant District Attorney General for the 2nd Judicial District in Sullivan County, Tennessee. In addition to hanging out with Carter, Amber enjoys hiking, playing the piano, reading, and hanging with her cats, Mayze and Zoe.
Carter’s Story

Special Thanks to Our Parents
We have to send out a special thanks to our parents. Without them, we truly would not be the people that we are today. We are very blessed to have the support of our families and cherish every moment we get to spend with them. Our parents’ love and devotion for each other have shown us what a true marriage is made of. We can only hope that we can be as happy with each other as our parents have been. Thank you for your unconditional love and support! Love, Amber and Carter
