Wedding Party:

Amy Guidry - Matron of Honor
Favs: Hiking, camping, tennis, egg nog, and hanging with her boys (this includes you, Randy)
Interesting Fact: She really does want world peace!
Amber’s Commentary: Amy is my sister and one of my dearest friends.  I remember a time when my only relationship with Amy was as her bratty younger sister.  And then over the years I have thought about how things gradually changed between us as we grew from just siblings to friends.  Just yesterday I was thinking of how wonderful it is to have a sister to confide in, to trust with my deepest feelings, to share all my hopes and dreams of the future, and to lean on through these next couple of months.  Amy has always been here for me through the ups and downs of my life, and I hope I have done the same for her.  I’ve been blessed enough to be in her wedding, as well as witness her bring three wonderful boys into this world.  And now I am so excited that she will be standing next to me on such an important day in my life.  Without her presence, the day just wouldn’t be the same!  Amy lives in Cookeville, Tennessee with her husband, Randy, and three boys, Collin, Quentin, and Ian (and their dog, Maggie)

Myers Massengill - Best Man
Favs: Tennis, golf, family time, taking pictures, and taking pictures, and taking pictures…
Interesting Fact: Has attended a Mission trip to Costa Rica for the last five years building churches
Carter’s Commentary: What can I say, my dad has been there from the beginning.  He and my mother have supported me from the start and will do so until the end I’m sure.  He has definitely made me the man I am today and I am deeply grateful for that.  I also appreciate his patience and good
advice throughout the years.  The past couple of years have been particularly enjoyable with my dad as he has attempted to show me the ropes with regard to practicing law.  I guess my most fond memories with my dad and family in general would be packing up the station wagon and heading out for vacations.  In the early days, dad would make audio tape recordings of us as we are heading out to our destination.  They are pretty funny to listen to now.  My father lives in Bristol, Tennessee with my mother Jan, dog George, and cat Spanky

Andy DePriest - Groomsman
Favs: Woodworking, painting, camping, rock climbing
Interesting Fact: Has fallen off his parents' roof at least two times and survived!
Carter’s Commentary: Andy is Amber’s brother and my soon to be brother-in-law.  He is also a proud new father of a beautiful baby girl, Bella.  Although I have only had a limited opportunity to get to know Andy over the past couple of years, I look forward to building a lifelong friendship with him.  I admire Andy, as he is a fiery red-head who stands up for what he believes in and marches to the beat of his own drum.  He is a whiz with his hands and is a master in woodworking, landscaping, mechanics, and many other things.  I, on the other hand, am not … not even close.  Accordingly, this writing will officially serve as notice to Andy that Amber and I are counting on you in those categories. Andy lives in Baxter, Tennessee with his baby girl, Bella, and the proud new mother, Lindsey.

Lindsey Fillers - Bridesmaid
Favs: Text messaging, marshmallows, Blink 182, and family
Interesting Fact: She’s a myspace.com junkie
Amber’s Commentary: Lindsey and I have only been friends for a couple of years, but during that time period we have grown so close that I consider her to be like a sister.  Any time I need something, Lindsey is there for me.  Anytime I’m feeling down, Lindsey always seems to know just the right thing to say.  Out of everyone that I have ever known in my lifetime, she is by far the most genuine and good-hearted person that I have ever met.  And I love her for that.  Lindsey currently lives in Baxter, Tennessee with my niece, Bella, and my brother, Andy

Myers Massengill, II - Groomsman
Favs: Fine dining, gardening, his cat Fatty, and his beautiful wife
Interesting Fact: Was one of only two students from his high school to be selected to participate in a Drivers Education Rodeo
Carter’s Commentary: Myers is my big brother and, yes, I will admit that he is one of my mentors too.  I have always looked up to him and appreciated his guidance over the years.  In fact, even at 30 years old I continue to count on him almost daily with questions regarding my constant “practice” of law and life in general.  Some fond memories of Myers are the tag-team wrestling matches we used to have in the foyer of our parents' house.  It was Myers who taught me such important moves as the Figure Four, the Scissors, the Claw, and the Sleeper.  I also enjoyed riding to school with him once he got his drivers license, and listening to the Guns-N-Roses' Appetite for Destruction album everyday for a full year at near deafening decibel levels.  Myers now lives in Abingdon, Virginia with his wife Shelley, dog Gabe, and ultra fat cat, Fatty.

John David Massengill - Groomsman
Favs: Golf, travel, clothes, The O.C., Reese Witherspoon, dance circles, and Zack Morris
Interesting Fact: John David recently purchased a Member’s Only Jacket off of eBay
Carter’s Commentary: John David is my little brother whom I have tried to be somewhat of a role model to.  Surely, there is something positive I have taught him over the years, although that has not been verified as of yet.  Even though he is my little brother, I have definitely learned from him and
looked to him for guidance as well.  It was nice growing up with brothers because you always had someone to play a game with, trade baseball cards with, or do whatever.  It was especially nice to have a little brother to pick on, after my big brother was done picking on me.  Sorry John David!  We generally got along very well though.  John David will be starting his M.B.A. at the University of Virginia in the fall. As of this writing he is single and taking calls!

Dana Wolf - Bridesmaid
Favs: Mountain biking, sushi, sleeping, hiking, Widespread Panic
Interesting Fact: This is the year of Dana!
Amber’s Commentary: I met Dana during my sophomore year in college and from the very beginning we were instant friends.  Dana has always been the kind of friend that is up for anything, be it canyoning in the Swiss Alps or tubing in the Smoky Mountains on a tiny lopsided inner tube.  I love Dana for her sponteanity and her passion for life.  There’s nothing that she won’t try and there is no challenge that is too big for her.  I have always been envious of the courage that seems to exude from Dana.  I am so lucky to have a friend like Dana because even though she will tell it like it is, you never have to question her honesty and integrity.  I can’t wait for Dana to be present on my wedding day!  Dana currently lives in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Wes Buckles - Groomsman
Favs: Fly fishing, skiing, The Home Depot, and long romantic walks in the woods
Interesting Fact: Loves any movie starring Patrick Swayze
Carter’s Commentary: Wes and I have been friends from a very early age from preschool and church.  My earliest memory of Wes was taking a train ride with his grandfather, which at the time I thought was the coolest.  Wes and I both grew up competitive swimmers, and by our senior year of high school our freestyle relay team had won 4th
place at the state competition (1st place for public schools).  Wes was also the first of my friends to do all of the really adult things like getting married and having a child.  Amber and I think he did an especially good job in that category and that’s why we asked his daughter, Gracie, to be our flower girl.  Wes works in pharmaceutical sales throughout East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.  He lives in Bristol, Tennessee with his wife Susan, daughter Gracie, and dogs Daisy and Jake.

Tracy Schuler - Bridesmaid
Favs: Ballroom dancing, key lime martinis, front porch swings, and 90210
Interesting Fact: She once interviewed for the Bush Administration
Amber’s Commentary: Tracy and I met my sophomore year in college.  I will never forget meeting her for the first time at O’Charley’s and telling her that I was looking for a roommate.  What a coincidence!  So was she!  And thus began our journey as roommates for the next four years (along with Amber Murphy - see below) and four apartments!!!  I truly don’t know what my life would be like without Tracy in it.  Her presence is like a permanent stamp on my existence, without which I would not be the person I am today.  We’ve been through everything from a peeping Tom on our patio, to having slumber parties in the living room floor, to laying by the pool on Saturday afternoons.  And even now with Tracy living all the way in Texas, our friendship continues to grow.  My wedding day would not be complete without her!  Tracy currently lives in Plano, Texas and works for Pepsico.

Chris Broglio - Groomsman
Favs: Mountain biking, skiing, his wife, cruisin, and long walks in the park
Interesting Fact: Was blessed by Pope John Paul II
Carter’s Commentary: Chris and I have been friends since around junior high school and became better friends in high school.  Chris comes from a family of 8 children, which I think is pretty neat because today his brothers and sisters have all grown up and each have their own lives and careers all over the country.  Chris and I, along with Wes Buckles, took the second
semester of our junior year of college off to live in Breckenridge, Colorado and work as ski lift operators.  While we may not have been learning in the academic sense that semester, we believe we learned a great deal about the L-I-V-I-N sense that semester.  But it was back to the books after that, and Chris is now happily and responsibly working the nine to five as an engineer for Burwill Construction.  Chris currently resides in Bristol, Tennessee with his expectant wife, Angela

Amber Murphy - Bridesmaid
Favs: Old horror movies, Ryan Gosling, dogs, warm weather, and the beach
Interesting Fact: Her favorite phrase is “L-E-T-S-G-O, that’s the way we spell Let’s Go! -- Let’s Go!” … and she has the most beautiful name in the entire world!
Amber’s Commentary: I met Amber my sophomore year in college when we (along with Tracy - see above) moved into our first apartment in “the Fort” in Knoxville where we lived among the other poor college students and the occasional homeless stranger.  In fact, for many years I had to go by “DePriest” just so I wouldn’t turn around anytime someone called out the name “Amber.”  Amber is probably the most beautiful person that I have ever met, on the outside and the inside.  We have had some great memories throughout the years.  I’ll never forget our late nights hanging out on the strip in Knoxville and Saturday mornings eating a Wendy’s number one with cheese.  She is such a great friend! Amber lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, Jason.

John Rainero - Groomsman
Favs: Golf, college football, warm weather, and his mom’s spaghetti
Interesting Fact: John’s greatest accomplishment is his family, Julia, Judson, and Tucker
Carter’s Commentary: John is a childhood friend of mine.  My earliest memories of John are hanging out at the pool, and later hanging out at the lake and on the golf course.  Over the years I could always count on John for his good taste in music.  He could often be found jamming to the Allman Brothers Band, the Marshall Tucker
Band, Hank Williams, Jr. or a little bit of Beach Music. John taught me how to do a flip on a kneeboard, an accomplishment he and I at one time could do with ease.  I also have fond memories of all of us getting up summer night basketball games at his parent’s house several times over the years.  John lives in Bristol, Virginia with his wife Julia, son Judson, and dog Tucker.

Kandi Kelley - Bridesmaid
Favs: Dr. Pepper, swimming pools, sleeping, and fake fingernails
Interesting Fact: Kandi thinks she could be the next American Idol
Amber’s Commentary: I met Kandi my first week of law school in Jackson, Mississippi.  From the very beginning of our friendship we were inseparable.  One of my favorite memories of Kandi is singing Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” over live radio in a Wal-Mart parking lot to win concert tickets.  Kandi has always been the kind of friend that I can tell anything to and she never judges me.  Kandi loves people for who they are and is quick to forgive mistakes and believes that everyone deserves a second chance at a new beginning.  I have been very lucky to have a friend like Kandi in my life.  Without her, my wedding day would not be complete!  Kandi lives in Jackson, Tennessee with her cat, Bella, and dog, Darcy.

Drew Everhart - Groomsman
Favs: Golf, Carolina barbeque, reality television, and Clemson football
Interesting Fact: Biked downhill on the world’s steepest paved road, with a 10,000 foot elevation change within 30 miles
Carter’s Commentary: Drew has been a friend of mine since very early on.  We grew up together attending State Street United Methodist Church where the congregation gave it their best to see to it we would grow up to be faithful and committed stewards of the church.  Hopefully, they are proud of
the results.  Drew grew up a resident of Bristol, Virginia, while I grew up on the “good side” in Bristol, Tennessee.  As such, we went to rival high schools and would occasionally get to compete with one another in golf events.  Fond memories of Drew include helping out during the church services for much of junior high and high school by being ushers, because that meant we could lay out of most of the service and catch up on our week or play pool in the youth room upstairs.  Drew lives with his wife, Nancy, just outside Atlanta, Georgia.

Bo Hawthorne - Groomsman
Favs: Naps, deer hunting, Waffle House, and the beach
Interesting Fact: Has had 33 roommates since leaving home for college back in …
Carter’s Commentary: Bo and I have been friends since meeting just a few days into our freshman year at James Madison University.  He hails from the small town of Kenbridge, Virginia and probably classifies himself as a Virginia Gentleman, although some may beg to differ.  We were college roommates in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and then roommates also in Washington, D.C., where we both had our first real jobs.  Bo is very sociable and a natural salesman.  In fact, he has made his company’s “top salesman club” for each of the 4 years he has been with his company, earning him trips to Hawaii, Vancouver, London, and Aruba.  He too will soon be starting the next chapter of his life in that he and his bride, Casey, are getting married in November of 2006.  They will be residing in Richmond, Virginia with their dog, Hashbrown.

Ian Guidry - Ring Bearer
Favs: Swimming, learning chess, soccer, riding his bike, and hanging out with “the guys”
Interesting Fact: His biggest goal is to get his first loose tooth
Amber’s Commentary: Ian is my youngest nephew and is the cutest four year old that I have ever met (only to tie with Collin and Quentin at that age, of course).  Ian is a vivacious boy with a sparkling personality.  And although he is much younger than his older brothers, Collin and Quentin, that doesn’t seem
to slow him down.  He is always right there with them.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that Ian isn’t too nervous about his role in the wedding, even though I know he is going to do a great job! Ian lives in Cookeville, Tennessee with his parents and two brothers.

Sarah Grace Buckles - Flower girl
Favs: Strawberry Shortcake, Dora the Explorer, dressing up, and anything pink
Interesting fact about Gracie: She loves to do hair!
Amber and Carter’s Commentary: Gracie is our favorite little girl!  She is the daughter of Wes and Sue Buckles and is three years old.  Gracie is very witty and captures the heart of anyone who has the luck of crossing her path.  We are so honored that she has accepted our invitation to be in our wedding.  Gracie lives in Bristol, Tennessee with her parents, but is thinking about getting her own apartment in a few months if she can save up enough allowance.

Collin Guidry - Honor Attendant
Favs: Boy scouts, basketball, Harry Potter, and rice crispy treats
Interesting fact about Collin: One Christmas Collin had a red mark on his big toe and thought that he had cut his foot.  He began to scream and cry about how much it hurt.  I mean, seriously scream!!! That is until he realized that it was just a piece of candy cane.  Needless to say, he was very embarrassed about the whole thing.  I will never let him live that one down.
Amber's Commentary: Collin is my
oldest nephew and is twelve years old.  It seems like only yesterday that Collin was a tiny baby with big blue eyes.  And now he is almost a pre-teen with long legs and big feet.  In all seriousness, Collin is such a smart kid and sometimes seems to know more about what’s going on in the world than half the adults in the room.  Collin has recently gotten his own room, which he is very proud of, along with his very own telephone.  Collin lives in Cookeville, Tennessee with his parents, Amy and Randy, and his brothers, Quentin and Ian.

Quentin Guidry - Honor Attendant
Favs: Cub Scouts, Splash Country, catching fish, and bugs
Interesting fact about Quentin: As a young child, Quentin invented the term “shooking,” which translates into throwing, tossing, pushing, flinging, or hurling any object across a room and possibly towards someone’s head.
Amber's Commentary: Quentin is my nephew and is nine years old.  We have a lot in common because he is a middle child, just like me!  Quentin has a very sweet personality and is such a tender-hearted and giving person, especially considering how young he is.  Quentin loves being in Cub Scouts and playing basketball.  Quentin lives in Cookeville, Tennessee with his parents, Amy and Randy, and his brothers, Collin and Ian.  He shares a room with his younger brother, Ian.
